Uzpromstroybank to increase charter capital by 24.255bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Open joint stock commercial bank Uzbek Industrial-Construction Bank (Uzpromstroybank) registered emission of ordinary shares for total sum of 24.255 billion soums.

The Center for coordination and control over functioning of securities market registered the decision of the bank on issuing of shares on 28 January 2011.

Within the emission, the bank will place 9.8 million ordinary shares with par value of 2,475 soums each. Total sum of the emission makes up 24.255 billion soums, the bank said.

The Uzbek bank plans to place shares through open subscription among unlimited number of potential investors. At the same time, the bank plans to place at least 25% shares through Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent”.

As earlier reported, the charter capital of Uzpromstroybank made up 123.75 billion soums as of 1 January 2011.

Uzpromstroybank has been founded in 1922 and re-registered in 1991. The main directions of its activities are crediting enterprises of strategic sectors of industry. The bank has 45 branches, 176 cash offices, 65 mini-banks in Uzbekistan and office in Moscow.

Share of the bank owned by 35,800 individuals and legal entities. Largest shareholders are Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan (35%) and Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (26%).

As of 1 January 2011, the assets of the bank reached almost 2 trillion soums, or grew by 21.1% in 2010. The main share of assets or 71.2% makes up credit investments. The volume of credit investments rose by 14.1% in 2010.
