The announcement said all clearing operations on VISA cards in Uzbekistan will be carried out through Uzsanoatqurilishbank.

The bank said that it is leader in Uzbekistan on number of issued VISA cards and transactions’ volume, as well as salary projects.

UzPSB is the second-largest bank in Uzbekistan, with total assets of US$1.1 billion at 30 June 2009. It has a high systemic importance with a 15% market share in loans, mainly to strategic sectors of the economy such as oil and gas, energy, and chemicals, which contribute nearly half of the country’s export revenues.
