Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the results of the annual selection in the Best Bank Awards 2022 category, experts from the international financial publication Asiamoney recognized Uzpromstroybank as the winner in the nominations "Best Bank of Uzbekistan" and "Best ESG Bank".

The decision to award Asiamoney awards was made by reputable financial analysts, headed by the editor of the publishing house, based on a study of the activities of financial institutions and feedback from customers and partners.

According to Asiamoney, the Uzbek bank is one of the largest credit organizations in Uzbekistan. Bank and only in the last year the volume of loans issued by the bank amounted to 13.2% of the total credit market of the country. Positive changes are also indicated in other financial indicators of the bank, such as growth in assets (12.7% of the total value of banking sector assets), deposits (8.1% of the total value of deposits in the industry) and income (by 125% compared to the previous year). ).

The publisher especially noted the bank’s ongoing work, together with the International Finance Corporation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, on transformation, development of "green banking" and the introduction of ESG principles to modernize the country’s energy balance and accelerate its transition to a more innovative and productive economy. 

In the future, the bank intends to continue expanding credit and investment support for the development of the green industry by financing programs aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the housing complex, purchasing energy-saving household appliances, encouraging investment in renewable energy sources and waste recycling.
