Switzerland’s ENCE GmbH and France’s CMI Termoline studied and developed the project of reconstruction, the company said.

The company said new equipment was installed and furnace was commissioned for conducting start-and-adjustment and guarantee trails. All working parameters, gas and air expenses, furnace temperature, gas emission, pressure and others are under control of HMI (human-machine interface level-1) and R-TOP (level 2). The company said employees can monitor, manage and introduces necessary parameters in real time regime.

The modernization of furnace will help to cut use of natural gas consumption from 63-65 cubic meters to 40-45 cubic meters of natural gas per 100 tonnes of production. The expenses of electricity fell up to 8-10%. Slag formation in heating of ready product will make up 8.5 kg per tonne.

The company said the reconstruction of furnace will also increase production volume. The productivity of furnace was 100 tonnes of products before reconstruction, now it will make up 120-126 tonnes per hour.

Uzmetkombinat is the only steel producer of Uzbekistan. The main activity of the enterprise is directed at processing ferrous metals’ scrap, realization of metal products, production and realization of metal consumer goods.
