UzLiDeP MPs discuss implementation of state budget
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A faction of Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan – Movement of Entrepreneurship and Business Persons (UzLiDeP) – held a session on 20 September 2013 to discuss the state budget in the first half of 2013.

MPs of UzLiDeP underlined that the state budget of Uzbekistan was implemented in line with the parameters, approved by Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, in the first half of 2013, as well as targeted implementation of important priorities of the programme on social-economic development of Uzbekistan for 2013.

It was noted that Uzbekistan’s economy grew by 8% in the first half of 2013, industrial output – 8.2%, agriculture production – 7.3%. The state budget was executed with 0.1% surplus to GDP and income part of the budget was executed with 0.5% surplus.

UzLiDeP underlined that some 15,800 new small businesses were created in Uzbekistan in six months of 2013, of which 28.2% fell to share of industry, 26.8% - trade and catering, 15.1% - agriculture and forestry, and 9.6% - construction sectors. Number of active businesses rose by 4.6% year-on-year in the first six months of 2013.

In the result, the volume of production of microfirms and small businesses increased in the reporting period, which increased receipts from single tax payment. The growth rate made up 24.9% year-on-year in the first six months of 2013.

Representatives of UzLiDeP called for implementation of legislation on improving business climate in the country, protection of interests and rights of businesses.

MPs said that it is necessary to improve quality of financial services to small businesses and avoid red-tape in the banking system despite the banks increased allocation of loans to the sector by 1.3 times year-on-year.

At the end of the session, the faction adopted a corresponding decision on the considered issue.
