Some electronic media reported that Uzbekistan Temir Yollari stopped to sell tickets on direction from the CIS states to Uzbekistan.

Uzjeldorpass said that currently Uzbekistan Temir Yollari in cooperation with All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Railway Transport started preliminary works on introduction of electronic tickets in Uzbekistan, which will allow customers to buy tickets via websites of the Uzbek company. In its turn, this will require introduction of changes to automatic management system “Express”.

Currently, there is decrease in passenger flow from CIS states to Uzbekistan and the works has been launched to introduce changes to software.

In 2013, the CIS states, which use Express software, will transfer mutual payments to “global prices”, which also envisages unification of existing tariffs in CIS, Baltic states and Georgia. In its turn, this move will also require to introduce changes to the software.
