Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Uzbek authorities plan to sell the state share in the Information Technology Center company, which is the operator of the UzIMEI service. 

This decision was made within the framework of the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan on additional measures to reduce state participation in the economy from 19 April 2024. 

According to this document, 49% of the state share in the company will be transferred to private hands. 

It should be noted that the remaining 51% belongs to Delta Telecom International. 

UzIMEI is a system for registering IMEI codes of mobile devices in Uzbekistan.
