Chairperson of Uzbektourism Farrukh Rizaev and director of TAVA Armands Slokenbergs signed the document in Riga on 11 October 2013.

The memorandum is directed at creating favourable conditions for developing tourism between two nations. The document sets main directions of cooperation between two sides.

In particular, the sides will cooperation training of cadres for tourism industry and promote tourism products via local mass media. The sides will also organize visits of mass media and tourism businesses to Uzbekistan and Latvia.

Armands Slokenbergs underlined that the memorandum will open new opportunities for cooperation.
