Uzbektelecom cuts tariffs for internet services for ISPs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbektelecom joint stock company cut tariffs for internet services (external channel) for internet service providers up to US$426 per 1 Mbps, the press service of the company said.
It recalled that in 2012, the company decreased prices six times. The price fell to US$500 per 1 Mbps on 20 January 2012and US$495 on 2 February 2012, to US$95 on 13 April and to US$457 on 30 April, to $442 on 21 May and to US$426 on 27 November.
The company stated that tariffs for internet services for ISPs decreased by 17.3% in 2012.
Uzbektelecom decreased tariffs for internet services for ISPs nine times in 2011. The price for 1 MB of Internet was US$849 in early 2011 and decreased to US$529 in December 2011.
In last two years, the prices for external channel for ISPs fell from US$1,510 to US$426, or almost three times.
