Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures to create an effective system for the development of production and the expansion of industrial cooperation in the Republic” in 2022.

This document defines the tasks associated with the creation of a comprehensive system for the development of high-tech production in the country and comprehensive support for the active attraction of investments, the development of a wide range of in-demand products and increasing export potential. This was reported by the information service of Uzbekneftegaz.

In order to ensure the execution of the instructions outlined in this document, Uzbekneftegaz JSC, together with the state oil company of Azerbaijan SOCAR, is implementing a project to develop the production of chemical reagents and oil and gas equipment in the Kashkadarya region.

As part of the project, it is planned to establish in our country the production of chemicals and drilling fluids, which are currently purchased through imports.

In addition, the development of equipment for well workover and the provision of services for warehousing and distribution of components for drilling and grouting fluids, widely used in field development and drilling, will be considered.

A meeting of the expert group of Uzbekneftegaz and the Neftgaz Research and Design Institute (NIPI) SOCAR was held in Baku. The issues of developing a preliminary business plan for the project were discussed.

During the visit, members of the working group of Uzbekneftegaz JSC got acquainted with the activities of testing laboratories accredited on the basis of an international certificate for drilling and grouting fluids.

This laboratory is equipped with modern equipment, and within the framework of a joint project, the Scientific Research Design Institute "Neftegaz" (NIPI) "SOCAR" plans to build a similar laboratory in Uzbekistan.

Following the negotiations, members of the joint working group also agreed on issues related to the next stages of the project.
