Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekneftegaz, a state-owned oil and gas company, is carrying out measures to increase natural gas production.

Departments of Uzbekneftegaz concluded contracts with manufacturing plants for short-term repairs of gas turbine engines. In particular, bilateral agreements have been concluded with Motor Sich, operating in Ukraine, for the repair of gas turbine engines of the AI-336- 2-8" and "D-336".

In connection with the current situation in the Ukrainian state, 4 units were sent for repairs. gas turbine engines of the AI-336-2-8 brand remained in Zaporozhye for some time.

The responsible procurement department, the department of hydrocarbon production of Uzbekneftegaz have repeatedly held negotiations with the management of the company "Motor Sich".

As a result, measures were developed and a "Road Map" was drawn up, on the basis of which, along with the repair of 4 gas turbine engines, a specialist from Motor Sich was involved in their installation and commissioning.

It should be noted that until February 2021, gas turbine engines sent from Motor Sich JSC for overhaul were delivered from Ukraine through 3 states (Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan) in 20 days. The last was sent through 9 states (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan) and reached Uzbekistan within 1 month.

Repaired gas turbine engines, together with a specialist from Motor Sich, were installed on the gas pumping units of the Pomuk and Zevarda compressor stations of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department and put into operation.

The gas turbine engines at the compressor stations were overhauled by the Ukrainian company Motor Sich, installation work was carried out in cooperation with qualified employees of the department.

As a result of the launch of gas pumping units, it was possible to ensure uninterrupted, stable operation of gas pumping units of compressor stations at the Pomuk and Zevarda fields, and also prevented a reduction in natural gas production.
