Uzbekneftegaz: new green energy projects to be implemented with Total Energies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held with representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the French company Total Energies. During the negotiations, representatives of the foreign company expressed their interest in implementing joint projects to develop networks of electric filling stations in Uzbekistan.

In turn, representatives of the foreign company were provided with information on the ongoing reforms in our country for a phased transition to green energy, as well as measures to expand electric filling stations, given the high market demand for electric vehicles.

It should be noted that Total Energies is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, which in recent years has been actively developing the use of environmentally friendly types of energy. The company currently operates in more than 130 countries. At the meeting, it was noted that the company plans to open a representative office in the city of Tashkent, which will represent its interests throughout the region of Central Asia.

To date, Uzbekneftegaz pays special attention to the development of production at the fields in the Upstream direction and the introduction of new promising projects for the deep processing of Downstream hydrocarbons at the Uzbekistan GTL plant.

The French company expressed its readiness to cooperate with Uzbekneftegaz JSC in the implementation of new projects in the field of green energy.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on further studying the prospects for cooperation in various areas and continuing work on joint projects, as well as the possibility of signing an NDA agreement and a MOU memorandum of understanding.
