Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the 2nd Economic Forum of Uzbekistan in Samarkand, which brought together leading international economists and international experts, Uzbekistan’s five-year development strategies, economic opportunities and international cooperation were discussed.

At this Forum, a number of meetings were held with the delegation of Uzbekneftegaz in order to establish strong relations with business circles and foreign partners, international banks.

On the first day of the economic forum, negotiations were held with representatives of SOCAR (Azerbaijan), JPMorgan Chase Bank (USA), CreditSuisse (Switzerland) and MUFG (Japan) companies and banks.

During the meeting, the heads of large international companies and banks were provided with detailed information on the results achieved by Uzbekneftegaz in the past year, digitalization and transformation processes, as well as projects that are planned to be implemented in the field.

First, negotiations were held with members of the delegation headed by Vice-President of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR Rafiga Huseyzoda. The parties discussed the current state of the previously reached agreements, in particular the results of the signed joint Roadmaps and memorandums.

The parties held talks on the joint implementation of investment projects in the oil and gas sector and their future prospects, the exchange of technologies and experience in the field of geological exploration, environmental safety, an agreement was reached on the mutual exchange of experience.

Another meeting was held with members of the JPMorgan Chase Bank delegation, which has assets of US$2.5 trillion and has been operating efficiently and reliably for many years.

At a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz and representatives of JPMorgan Chase Bank, reforms, transformations, administrative and structural changes in the oil and gas industry of our country, as well as the investment attractiveness of the sector were discussed.

At a meeting with representatives of JPMorgan Chase Bank, the parties discussed the final results. The possibilities of attracting short-term and medium-term financing for the implementation of various promising projects were also discussed. An agreement was reached to continue constant communication and exchange of necessary information, and an agreement was reached on the development of currently existing areas of cooperation.

During the discussion with the leaders of CreditSuisse who attended the Forum, the possibilities of project financing were discussed, as well as ways to attract long-term insurance coverage from European expert credit agencies.

At a meeting with representatives of CreditSuisse, some promising areas for the development of mutual cooperation were discussed again. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to be in constant contact and jointly develop all promising areas of cooperation.

On the first day, negotiations were held with a representative of the MUFG bank, at the meeting the parties discussed new prospects for mutual financial cooperation.

The projects implemented by Uzbekneftegaz and issues of financing various corporate needs were also discussed.
