Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11-12 September 2018, Uzbekneftegaz hosted a meeting with a delegation of Honeywell UOP (USA) to discuss the prospects for cooperation development, the press service of the Uzbek company said.

On 16 May, within the framework of the State visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States of America, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Uzbekneftegaz and Honeywell UOP to organize joint activities within the framework of the project for production of olefins from natural gas using MTO technology.

Honeywell UOP in China, in conjunction with the engineering company Wison, has implemented several MTO projects.

Wison Engineering Ltd, being an engineering company, successfully launched 5 MTO installations, 3 MTO facilities will be launched before the first quarter of 2019 and 3 more are currently under construction.

Within the framework of the negotiations, the presentation of the activities of Wison Engineering Ltd., which has a great experience in implementation of projects for MTO technology in China.

The foreign party noted that Honeywell UOP and Wison Engineering Ltd. have been cooperating on projects in China for more than 10 years.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached that Wison Engineering Ltd. will assist Honeywell UOP in development of a technical and commercial report on the project of the MTO production of olefins and chemical products.
