Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the purpose of continuing cooperation between Uzbekneftegaz and Air Products (USA), the first meeting of the joint working group of enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Air Products was held in Tashkent on 28-29 August 2018. Ivo Bols, President of Air Products Corporation for Europe and Africa, headed the US Company delegation.

At the talks, Odil Temirov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekneftegaz Management Board, drew attention that Seifi Ghasemi, CEO of Air Products visited Uzbekistan early this August. During that visit, Mr. Ghasemi expressed willingness to invest in projects in the oil and gas, chemical and metallurgical industries. He also showed interest in projects for the production of polymers from natural gas (MTO).

Following the results of the visit of Seifi Ghasemi, the Activity Schedule was signed on interaction of enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Air Products.

During the two-day meeting, the parties discussed the state of implementation of this Activity Schedule, got acquainted with the projects of Uzbekneftegazfor deep processing of hydrocarbons by 2030, the current state of the implementation of MTO projects in Uzbekistan. In addition, possible promising areas for the participation of Air Products Corporation in investment projects of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The status of the implementation of the Activity Schedule has been worked out in detail, further steps specified.

The Parties noted that the joint working group was composed in pursuance of the Activity Schedule consisting of specialists from the Air Products and enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Current meeting at Uzbekneftegaz is a discussion of further steps to develop bilateral cooperation.

At the end of the talks, Mr. Ivo Bols thanked the Uzbek side for providing the information and the opportunity to discuss current issues within the establishing cooperation.
