In the rating, Uzbekneftegaz was placed higher than Azerbaijan’s Socar (36th place), Russia’s TNK-BP (38) and Kazakhstan’s Kazmunaigas (41).

Uzbekneftegaz national holding company was founded in 1998 and it is monopoly oil and gas operator in Uzbekistan. The company, which wholly owned by the Government of Uzbekistan, unites six joint-stock companies.

Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia) topped the rating of Petroleum Intelligence Weekly, while NIOC of Iran and Exxon Mobil of the US took next two places. Russia Gazprom was 14th, while Rosneft and Lukoil placed 16th and 17th respectively.
