Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 October 2023, at the Strategic Summit of the IV Extraordinary Congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the Republic of Uzbekistan was awarded the “Rising Star of Postal Development” award.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan Pochtasi JSC achieved great success among 172 UPU member countries according to 2IPD 2023.

According to the report of the Universal Postal Union on the development of postal services in 2023, Uzbekistan Post JSC took a high place in the postal development index in 2022, rising from 115th place to 74th.

The Integrated Index of Postal Development (2IPD) is determined annually by the Universal Postal Union. It is a composite index that provides an overall picture of postal development in any country or region based on four main components. These are reliability (speed of delivery), network scale (number of international partners and volume of international traffic), demand (number of post offices per capita) and resilience (ability to adapt to change).

It is worth noting that the leading places in the ranking were taken by Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
