Uzbekistan’s tourism potential presented in Tokyo
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and the 2,200th anniversary of Tashkent was held in Tokyo, Japan. Japan Tour Agencies Association and AGT tourism firm organized the event at the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan.
Representatives of over 45 tourism firms, business circles, as well as public of Japan participated at the event.
Participants said that rich cultural and historic heritage of Uzbekistan created favourable ground for boosting of the Uzbek-Japan cooperation, directed at increasing tourists’ inflow and improving tourism infrastructure of Uzbekistan.
The meeting said number of tourists, visiting Uzbekistan, increased significantly. Currently, over 7,000 tourists from Japan visit Uzbekistan annually.
Documentary film about history and modern life of Tashkent was demonstrated within the presentations.
