Uzbekistan’s tourism potential impresses visitors at Urumqi Exhibition

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 22 to 24 March, the Chinese city of Urumqi hosted two major international events: the "Xinjiang Culture and Tourism Exhibition 2025" and the "6th Xinjiang Spring Tourism Exhibition."

Uzbekistan actively showcased its tourism potential, attracting significant interest from participants and visitors.

A dedicated exhibition stand, organized by the Tourism Committee and the Tashkent City Administration, became one of the key highlights of the event. The stand featured presentations on Uzbekistan’s investment, export, and tourism potential, offering an in-depth look at the country’s vast opportunities.

Visitors had the chance to explore Uzbekistan’s unique cultural, historical, and natural landmarks, as well as gain insights into the development prospects of its tourism infrastructure.

As part of the exhibition, bilateral negotiations took place between representatives of Tashkent and Urumqi’s tourism sectors. The discussions resulted in several agreements aimed at increasing tourist flows between the two regions and attracting investments to further develop Uzbekistan’s tourism infrastructure.

Uzbekistan’s participation in the exhibition drew considerable attention from Chinese media. A special report by a Chinese television channel highlighted the tourism potential of Tashkent and other regions of the country. Journalists praised Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, renowned hospitality, and unique tourism development opportunities.

Uzbekistan’s presence at the Urumqi exhibition marks an important step in strengthening international cooperation in tourism and culture. This event not only enhances Uzbekistan’s global visibility but also opens new prospects for attracting tourists and investments from China and beyond.
