Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Consul General in Kazan Nodirjon Kasymov held a meeting with Tatarstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, Dunyo news agency said.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial sector between the regions of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan, and discussed the development of mutually beneficial projects.

Particular attention was given to the agricultural reforms underway in Uzbekistan and the role of free economic zones.

As a result of the talks, an agreement was reached to prepare for a visit by a delegation from Tatarstan’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food to Uzbekistan.
