Uzbekistan’s official meets Tyumen region’s governor
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Governor of Russia’s Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev held negotiations with the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Abdurakhim Kayumov on 15 August to discuss deepening economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the region.

Abdurakhim Kayumov said that this is his first visit to Tyumen region and he was impressed. He underlined economic growth of the region and beautiful cities.

Uzbek official said that the region is important economic partner of Uzbekistan. He added that in five months of 2011, trade turnover of Uzbekistan with Ural Federal Region grew by 45% to 167 million rubles, and more than half fell to share of Tyumen region. The main trade items are agriculture and automobile products.

Press service of Tynemen region’s governor said that the Uzbek official invited companies from Tyumen regions to participate in economic forum, which will be organized in October 2011 in Tashkent.

Tyumen region’s governor Vladimir Yakushev said the region is participate in the forum and added that the region is interested in development of economic cooperation with Uzbekistan. Yakushev said that participation in various events and exhibitions can be useful.

Governor said that cooperation in agriculture sector can be perspective and offered to create trade house of Uzbekistan in the region.

During the meeting, the sides paid special attention to migration policy issues. Governor said that Tyumen region is economically developed region and it attracts citizens of many countries. He said that there is also large number of citizens of Uzbekistan.

Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev said that the region will decrease job quotas for foreign citizens and it will toughen measures on preventing illegal migration.
