Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport I. Makhkamov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan B. Atamkulov.
During the talks, issues regarding the development of bilateral and transit road transport were discussed, including the situation at border crossing points and the creation of equal conditions for national carriers.
The sides also exchanged views on the possibilities of increasing freight transportation through the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, particularly through competitive tariffs on transport and port services.
Additionally, the implementation of joint projects for the construction of railways "Uchkuduk – Kyzylorda" and "Darbaza – Maktaaral" was discussed.
