Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Yu Xun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan.

At the start of the meeting, the delegations were presented with an overview of ongoing reforms at the Ministry of Digital Technologies and IT Park Uzbekistan, outlining their key areas of activity and future plans. Participants also became acquainted with the work of the specialized IT education academy Ustudy, the UZSOC Innovation Project Center, which ensures cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, and the Unified Integrator UZINFOCOM.

During the discussions, the sides explored opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the fields of digital technologies, IT education, and artificial intelligence, as well as experience sharing. Particular emphasis was placed on attracting Chinese companies to Uzbekistan, integrating them as residents of IT Park, and the conditions and tax incentives available to residents.

The meeting also covered the introduction of advanced technologies in the IT sector, IT education curricula, and the implementation of artificial intelligence projects.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on measures to strengthen cooperation in the digital technology sector and reviewed proposals for creating high-paying jobs for young people.
