Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency reaches agreement with UK recruiters to expand seasonal worker quota
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency held online negotiations with representatives from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), official operators of the UK’s Seasonal Workers Scheme (SWS), and organizations such as the Association of Labour Providers (ALP) and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA).
The event included two UK companies working with Uzbekistan and new recruitment organizations like Agri-HR-Ltd, Fruitful Jobs LTD, and Concordia Charity.
The discussions focused on mechanisms for attracting Uzbek citizens for seasonal work in the UK, with special attention given to the candidate selection process and the organization of transparent examination procedures.
As a result of the talks, the Agency’s leadership reached an agreement to sign contracts with recruitment operators interested in cooperating with Uzbekistan and to increase the quota for the number of citizens sent to work in the UK.
