Industrial output of the country grew by 9.1% year-on-year to 13.265 trillion soums in the reporting period and agriculture production increased by 4.1% to 4.985 trillion soums. The country produced consumer goods for 3.986 trillion soums in the first half of 2009, which is up 13.1% year-on-year.

Investments in fixed capital made up 6.026 trillion soums or grew by 32.7% year-on-year in the reporting period. Construction works rose by 32.5% year-on-year to 3.128 trillion soums.

Retail trade turnover in Uzbekistan comprised 7.312 trillion soums (up 17.7% year-on-year) and paid services rendered to population made up 2.614 trillion soums (18%).

Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan grew by 5% year-on-year to US$10.497 billion in January-June 2009. Exports of Uzbekistan rose by 2.8% to US$6.034 billion and imports grew by 8.2% to US$4.462 billion.
