Uzbekistan’s football league is on 34th place in world
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan’s Oliy Liga became the 34th the world’s strongest league in 2011, according to the new ranking of the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
Uzbek league is on the sixth place in Asia after South Korea (13th place), Japan (19), Saudi Arabia (20), Iran (22), and Malaysia (32).
Among the CIS countries, Uzbekistan league is on third place. Russia (16) and Ukraine (30) are placed above Oliy Liga.
Spanish La Liga is on the first place and it is followed by leagues of Argentina and Brazil. English Premier League is the fourth and Italian Serie A is fifth.
The ranking is based on performances of teams of various countries in international tournaments. The ranking includes 122 countries.
