Uzbekistan’s First Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina presents credentials
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, who is based in Vienna, has officially presented his credentials to Željka Cvijanović, Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Dunyo news agency reports.
The official ceremony took place at the Presidency building of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following the presentation, a dialogue was held in which the two sides discussed prospects for strengthening Uzbekistan–Bosnia and Herzegovina relations, with a particular focus on trade, economic, cultural, and tourism cooperation.
Željka Cvijanović commended the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and highlighted their positive outcomes.
Both sides expressed a mutual commitment to elevating bilateral ties to a new level.
Bakhtiyor Ibragimov previously served as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Austria, Albania, and Slovakia. He presented his credentials to Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen in November 2023, Albanian President Bajram Begaj in January 2025, and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini in March 2025.
In addition, in October 2023, Ibragimov was accredited as Uzbekistan’s representative to international organizations based in Vienna, including the OSCE, UNODC, CTBTO, IAEA, and other UN agencies.
