Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Information about the creation of a new airline, GAB Airlines, in Uzbekistan has been denied.

Uzbekistan’s Civil Aviation Agency (Uzaviasiya) stated that media reports about the existence of GAB Airlines, allegedly planning to operate Airbus A320 and Airbus A330 aircraft, are not true.

The agency emphasized that according to the Air Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Law on Licensing, Permitting, and Notification Procedures, a legal entity must obtain an Operator’s Certificate from Uzaviasiya to operate in the civil aviation sector.

Only after obtaining this certificate can a company be granted the status of an airline and the right to conduct air transportation.

Currently, Uzaviasiya has not received any application from the so-called GAB Airlines company for the Operator’s Certificate, nor any documents related to the purchase or lease of aircraft.

Therefore, the information about the existence of GAB Airlines in Uzbekistan, published in the media, has been recognized as false and not corresponding to the actual facts.
