Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 29 October, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan confirmed the results of the elections for deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, which took place on Sunday in a single electoral district.

During the meeting, 75 deputy mandates were distributed among political parties, as reported by the CEC press service.

According to the Electoral Code, the distribution of mandates is based on the electoral coefficient, calculated by dividing the total number of votes (14,946,171) by the number of seats (75), resulting in a coefficient of 199,282.

The results were as follows:

- Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP): 26 seats

- Democratic Party "Milliy Tiklanish": 14 seats

- People’s Democratic Party: 12 seats

- Social Democratic Party "Adolat": 12 seats

- Ecological Party: 9 seats

Two mandates remained unallocated.

According to the Code, unallocated seats are awarded to parties with the highest remaining coefficients, calculated to six decimal places. In this case, the People’s Democratic Party and the Ecological Party received the remaining coefficients.

The final distribution of seats in the Legislative Chamber for the single electoral district is:

- UzLiDeP: 26 seats

- Milliy Tiklanish: 14 seats

- People’s Democratic Party: 13 seats

- Adolat: 12 seats

- Ecological Party: 10 seats

This distribution aligns with the preliminary results announced by the CEC on Monday.

The CEC will notify all parties and elected deputies according to the party lists. Subsequently, the commission will register the deputies of the Legislative Chamber.

In the near future, the CEC will also approve the results of the elections held under the majoritarian system (single-member districts), which elected another 75 deputies.
