Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In February 2025, the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan held eight meetings, reviewing 43 issues and making corresponding decisions on each.

In the field of registration and licensing, 31 cases were discussed. These included amendments to the charters of credit institutions, with eight such changes being registered. Additionally, three new microfinance organizations were added to the registry, five permits were issued for acquiring shares in credit institutions, and one representative office was approved. The committee also reviewed and approved 13 candidates for supervisory boards, management boards, and key positions in commercial banks.

One of the decisions made was the exclusion of the microfinance organization ISHONCH PLYUS HAMKOR MIKROMOLIYA TASHKILOTI LLC from the state registry due to its voluntary liquidation initiated by its founders.

Twelve cases related to the financial condition of credit institutions were also discussed, with a focus on compliance with prudential regulations and Central Bank directives. Following inspections, three banks received official warnings regarding potential sanctions for non-compliance. Furthermore, five banks were fined for violations identified during audits and supervisory investigations.
