Uzbekistan’s Central Bank and UNDP agree to launch pilot financial literacy projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in digital inclusion and improving access to financial services for women in rural areas.
Special attention was given to utilizing multimedia channels to enhance financial accessibility.
The parties also explored the possibility of conducting sociological research with international experts to identify behavioral factors affecting access to financial instruments.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to launch pilot financial literacy projects in selected regions of the country and integrate financial education into UNDP’s ongoing initiatives.
