Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In May 2025, experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted an analysis of price changes in the country’s used car market.

Prices of Popular Domestic Cars

In May of this year, average prices for popular domestically produced vehicles declined compared to April:

For the Onix, cars with high mileage dropped in price by US$800 (from US$13,800 to US$13,000), and those with average mileage decreased by US$220 (from US$13,700 to US$13,480).

For the Lacetti, vehicles with low mileage fell by US$100 (from US$14,800 to US$14,600), high-mileage units by US$100 (from US$13,000 to US$12,900), and those with average mileage by US$75 (from US$14,075 to US$14,000).

Cobalt cars with low mileage saw a decrease of US$144 (from US$12,700 to US$12,556).

The Nexia with average mileage became US$100 cheaper (from US$11,000 to US$10,900).

The Spark with high mileage dropped by US$100 (from US$8,900 to US$8,800).

The Damas fell by US$200 for high-mileage units (from US$7,200 to US$7,000), US$200 for average mileage (from US$7,800 to US$7,600), and US$50 for low mileage (from US$8,050 to US$8,000).

Prices of Domestic Luxury-Class Vehicles

Price changes in the domestic luxury segment were as follows:

The Equinox with low mileage dropped by US$1,166 (from US$34,666 to US$33,500).

The Malibu with low mileage fell by US$750 (from US$31,250 to US$30,500), and those with average mileage dropped by US$1,450 (from US$29,950 to US$28,500).

The Tracker with average mileage became US$300 cheaper (from US$17,300 to US$17,000), and with low mileage dropped by US$175 (from US$18,600 to US$18,425).

At the same time, the average-used Equinox became more expensive in May, rising by US$700 (from US$29,800 to US$30,500), and the high-mileage version also increased slightly by US$200 (from US$26,000 to US$26,200). The price of the high-mileage Tracker remained unchanged at US$16,000.

Prices of Electric Vehicles

During this period, the average price of a used BYD Song Plus EV Champion dropped by US$150 (from US$26,350 to US$26,200).

Average prices for other electric vehicles changed as follows:

The used BYD Han increased by US$2,000 (from US$32,000 to US$34,000), while the new model rose by US$1,100 (from US$31,900 to US$33,000).

The new BYD Song Plus EV Champion increased by US$1,100 (from US$27,800 to US$28,900).

The used BYD Yuan Up rose by US$850 (from US$19,300 to US$20,150), and the new version increased by US$406 (from US$20,500 to US$20,906).

Prices of Foreign Cars

In May, prices for foreign-made vehicles dropped significantly:

The Kia Carnival with high mileage decreased by US$3,500 (from US$36,000 to US$32,500), low mileage by US$2,028 (from US$47,000 to US$44,972), and average mileage by US$1,000 (from US$46,000 to US$45,000).

The Kia Sorento with high mileage dropped by US$2,100 (from US$35,250 to US$33,150), and average mileage by US$1,700 (from US$38,000 to US$36,300).

The Kia K5 with low mileage fell by US$2,777 (from US$32,000 to US$29,223), high mileage by US$350 (from US$25,300 to US$24,950), and average mileage by US$150 (from US$27,150 to US$27,000).

The Kia Sportage with high mileage dropped by US$2,250 (from US$28,500 to US$26,250), and average mileage by US$200 (from US$30,000 to US$29,800).

The Hyundai Elantra with high mileage decreased by US$1,000 (from US$21,000 to US$20,000), and average mileage by US$301 (from US$21,201 to US$20,900).

The Kia Seltos with high mileage declined by US$1,000 (from US$23,000 to US$22,000), and average mileage by US$409 (from US$24,850 to US$24,441).

Meanwhile, the Elantra and Sorento with low mileage bucked the trend and became more expensive, increasing by US$116 (from US$24,112 to US$24,228) and US$1,250 (from US$43,250 to US$44,500), respectively.

This price analysis is based on data collected via web scraping from the platform olx.uz. In total, around 15,500 listings were analyzed for both April and May.
