Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Uzbekistan, from January to July 2024, approximately 204,900 passenger cars were produced, according to the data from the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
During this period, UzAuto Motors produced 84,758 Cobalt cars, marking a 51.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023. However, production of Gentra cars saw a significant decline of 70.9%, totaling 12,837 units. The output of Damas cars increased by 12.4%, reaching 48,884 units, while Tracker production grew by 18.5%, totaling 23,378 units. The production of Onix cars saw a 34.8% increase, reaching 18,238 units.
Additionally, 4,869 Chery cars were produced, representing a 6.6% decrease from the previous year. Production of KIA cars increased by 22.1%, reaching 11,399 units. Furthermore, 628 Haval cars and 6 Lada cars were assembled.
In total, Uzbek enterprises produced 15,339 specialized passenger cars, marking a 22.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
