Uzbekistan Wins Two Global Startup Awards

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has secured two awards at the Global Startup Awards held in Malta during the EU-Startups Summit, according to IT Park Uzbekistan. The results highlight the country’s strengthening position in the global innovation ecosystem.

According to the official results, the startup Catextra was named the world winner in the Greentech category. In addition, Rakhimakhon Nugmanova won the People’s Choice Award, which is based on community voting.

Organizers noted that the success at the international final followed the regional stage of the competition held in Uzbekistan in September 2025 as part of ICT Week, with support from IT Park Uzbekistan. The Tashkent-based stage served as a platform for selecting and preparing projects for the global final.

Participants and organizers view the results as evidence of the growing competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem and its ability to enter international markets. They also note that such achievements are increasing global investor interest in the region’s technology sector and demonstrating the scalability potential of local innovative projects.
