Uzbekistan Wins Four Medals at U23 Asian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The U23 Asian Wrestling Championships have started in Vietnam, where Uzbekistan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team won four medals on the opening day.

The Uzbek athletes secured two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.

Gold medals were won by Aytjan Khalmakhanov in the up to 67 kg category and Abdulla Aliyev in the up to 77 kg category.

Azimjon Soatullaev claimed a silver medal in the up to 82 kg category, while Shakhzod Kuchkorov earned bronze in the up to 72 kg division.

With this result, Uzbekistan’s team made a strong start to the continental championship among U23 wrestlers.
