Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In April 2025, Uzbekistan reached a significant historic milestone: for the first time ever, the country welcomed more than one million foreign tourists in the span of a single month.

This record-breaking figure is the result of a consistent implementation of large-scale reforms in the tourism sector, aimed at increasing the country’s openness and expanding international cooperation.

Key to this achievement were the initiatives carried out under the decrees and resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These include recognizing tourism as a strategic area of development, actively attracting investment, expanding the visa-free regime, and participating in major international tourism exhibitions and forums. Together, these measures have significantly increased global interest in Uzbekistan as a travel destination.

Looking ahead, the country plans to continue the comprehensive development of its tourism industry by broadening the range of services offered in line with international standards.
