Uzbekistan uses foreign investments and loans for US$1.536bn
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The volume of foreign investments and loans, used in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2013, made up US$1.536 billion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan (MFERIT) said.
According to data of ministries ad departments, the volume of used foreign investments and loans within the investment programme of Uzbekistan made up US$1.536 billion, which rose by 30.7% year-on-year.
The MFERIT said that Uzbekistan used investments, attracted under the guarantees of the Government, for US$363.4 million in January-June 2013. The growth rate made up 44.9% year-on-year.
The volume of foreign direct investments and loans reached US$1.173 billion in the reporting period, which grew by 26.8% year-on-year.
