Shukhrat Maqsudov’s side arrived in the UAE on 5 January and played its first warm-up match on 6 January against local club Hatta (Dubai).

The match completed with the score 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by Dilshod Juraev.

Shukhrat Maqsudov called 23 players under the age of 22 to the training camp. All players represent clubs, playing in Uzbek Oliy Liga.

Uzbekistan U-22 will play in the AFC U-22 Championship, which will be held in Oman from 11 to 26 January 2014.

Uzbekistan will face China (12 January), Iraq (14 January) and Saudi Arabia (16 January) in the group stage of the tournament.
