Uzbekistan U-18 loses to Belgium

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan U-18 started the New Year with the defeat to Belgium. The Uzbek side faced European side within the tournament in Saint Petersburg dedicated to memory of first FIFA Vice-President Valentin Granatkin.

Uzbekistan led by Marat Kabaev opened the score in 17 the minute of the match thanks to Pakhtakor’s striker Oyatullokhon Muhiddinov.

Jimmy De Jonghe scored equalizer in the 23rd minute of the match, while Laurent Clerbois provided three points to Belgium in the 57th minute.

Uzbekistan now will face Belarus on 6 January and Russia on 10 January 2009.
