Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acting Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association Farhod Nurmukhamedov met with the Honorary Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Bursa Ali Baklan. During the meeting, ongoing work to expand cooperation in the leather and footwear industry was discussed.

In February of this year, a delegation of entrepreneurs belonging to the Uzcharmsanoat association made a business mission to the Turkish city of Bursa. During the visit, business people of our country agreed to implement a number of projects and programs in the leather and footwear industry with Turkish entrepreneurs. These include the production of shoes under Turkish brands and the implementation of joint investment projects.

During the conversation, Dr. Ali Baklan said that after the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Türkiye, the interest of Turkish companies in investing in our country and implementing new joint projects in cooperation has increased. 

In particular, a delegation of leather industry enterprises from Bursa is expected to visit Uzbekistan in April 2024. 

During the visit, negotiations will be held between businessmen of the two countries on the purchase of processed leather, gelatin, as well as the implementation of projects aimed at the production of shoes under the brand of Turkish brands.
