Uzbekistan, Turkey discuss cooperation in tourism sphere
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Chairperson of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on development of tourism Anvar Sharapov received the head of the representative office of Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) in Uzbekistan Suleiman Kiziltoprak.
During the meeting, the Uzbek side informed the guests on reforms and development of tourism industry in Uzbekistan, development of tourism infrastructure. The Turkish side was informed on development of the concept on developing tourism for 2017-2021.
Kiziltoprak highly rated tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan and special attention to development of tourism in the country.
Head of TIKA Office in Uzbekistan said that interest of Turkish citizens and businesses to Uzbekistan sharply rose after the visit of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Uzbekistan and talks with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was noted that Uzbekistan has great historic and cultural heritage related to Islam civilization.
The sides considered issues of developing tourism infrastructure of Uzbekistan, attracting technical assistance of TIKA in this directions, organizing of courses and training with attraction of Turkish specialists, etc.
