Russia and Uzbekistan have signed contracts on supplying 32 Il aircrafts of various modifications to Russia from Uzbekistan, Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev said today at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov.
Mirziyoyev said that 28 Il-114 aircraft, two Il-76 and two Il-78 aircraft, would be supplied to Russian Defence Ministry.
"There are some issues, but they are formal ones," the Uzbek prime minister said.
A source in the Russian delegation told journalists that several contracts on supplying more than 30 aircraft to Russia on the Russian Defence Ministry’s order from Tashkent’s Chkalov aviation production association had been signed recently.
The aircraft would be supplied to Russia, as well as for work under the programme "Open Sky", Itar-TASS reported quoting the source.
