Uzbekistan to simplify the export of gasoline and motor oils
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has instructed to simplify the process of exporting gasoline and motor oils.
On February 6, the head of state signed a resolution introducing amendments to the document from 3 November 2017, "On Measures for the Further Liberalization of Foreign Trade Activities and Support for Business Entities."
Under the new resolution, several types of petroleum products have been removed from the list of goods that were previously excluded from the simplified export procedure.
Now, automobile gasoline (TN VED codes 2710 12 4100 — 2710 12 5900), medium petroleum distillates excluding kerosene (2710 19 290 0), motor oils (2710 19 820 0), hydraulic fluids (2710 19 840 0), as well as gear and transmission oils (2710 19 880 0) can be exported under a simplified procedure.
The adopted changes mean that the export of these products will no longer require mandatory prepayment, the opening of a letter of credit, a bank guarantee, or the insurance of export contracts.
The category of medium petroleum distillates, which is now also subject to the easing of restrictions, includes ligroin, kerosene, and diesel fractions. As a result, diesel fuel, heating oil, transmission oils, kerosene-based cleaning agents, and other similar products will now fall under the new procedure.
This decision aims to support domestic lubricant manufacturers for the automotive industry.
It is expected to enhance their competitiveness in the international market and serve as an incentive for increasing export supplies.
