Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is considering the revival of the "10,000 Steps" project, as part of the 2025 state program, which has been published for public discussion.

As reported, starting from 1 June 2025, within the framework of the national movement "One Million Green Families," a special platform will be launched where citizens who walk at least 10,000 steps daily can achieve the status of "Ecoactive Citizen."

Citizens who earn this status will be able to enjoy a range of benefits, including a 10% discount on state services and discounts on consumer loans from banks with more than 50% state ownership.

If all adult members of a family receive the "Ecoactive Citizen" status, the family will be given the title of "Green Family." These families will have a chance to win one of 14 electric vehicles in an annual lottery.

Previously, starting in 2021, individuals who walked 10,000 steps daily received 3,000 soums. However, this system was canceled in January 2022, and a new reward scheme was planned but did not last long.

Moreover, in areas where half of the residents achieve the "Green Family" status, competitions such as "Cleanest District" and "Greenest District" will be held. The winners of these contests will receive 500 million soums for the construction of children's playgrounds, the creation of green parks, and the installation of waste collection areas.
