Uzbekistan to produce over 10,900 units of agriculture equipment in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is planning to produce about 10,900 units of agriculture equipment and tools in 2010, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On main parameters of production and realization of agriculture equipment for 2010”.

The resolution was adopted for further expanding agriculture equipment production in Uzbekistan, satisfying demand for agriculture equipment, as well as increasing export potential of agriculture machinery industry.

The document said the Special commission on determining annual needs to agriculture equipment developed a programme on production and realization of agriculture equipment in Uzbekistan in 2010, and forecast parameters of agriculture equipment of farmers, machinery-tractor fleets due to own resources, credit resources and leasing.

The resolution said Uzbekistan will produce various modification of tractors, cultivators, seeders, ploughs, tractor trailers and other equipment. In particular, Uzbekistan will produce 2,000 cotton harvesters TTZ-80.11, 1,000 universal-tilling tractors TTZ-80.10, 200 universal tilling tractors Asox with capacity of 100 hourse powers, 200 universal-tilling tractors with capacity of 100 to 140 powerhouses (TL, TS, MXM), 40 cotton harvesters and 170 grain harvesters.

In line with forecast parameters, farm entities and machine-tractor fleets, including alternative ones, will purchase about 6,400 equipment. Part of equipment will be purchased due to local banks and leasing.

The resolution said Uzbekistan will export 1,270 units of agriculture equipment. In particular, the country exported 80 units of cotton harvesters TTZ-80.11 and 20 units of universal-tilling tractors with capacity of 100 to 140 powerhouses (TL, TS, MXM).
