Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures on implementation of the law “On prevention of micronutrient insufficiency among population” on 23 November 2010.

The document was adopted at further implementation of measures on strengthening health of population and execution of the “On prevention of micronutrient insufficiency among population”.

In line with the document, from 1 January Uzbekistan will produce and realize only enriched flour of first grade and salt.

The government entrusted Healthcare Ministry of Uzbekistan to adopt measures to purchase and supply of vitamin-mineral mixtures and other goods, which are necessary for enrichment of flour and food salt.

The government made head of enterprises producing flour and salt responsible for quality of produced and realized goods.

Micronutrients are food nutrients (vitamins and minerals), which are needed for normal growth and development of human.
