Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has postponed the phase-out of AI-80 gasoline to 2028.

This is outlined in a presidential resolution “On Priority Measures to Combat Dust Storms and Improve Air Quality,” issued on 24 September.

The resolution specifies that the ban on the use of motor fuels below the "Euro-4" environmental standard, including AI-80 gasoline, will come into effect in 2028.

It’s worth noting that on 29 December 2023, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev tasked Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov with considering the discontinuation of AI-80 gasoline by 2025.
