Uzbek President Islam Karimov approved technical-economic parameters of the projects on modernization with his resolution.

Within the project, it is planned to construct oncology center in Navoi and Jizzakh, reconstruct and repair of 13 oncology centers, as well as purchase diagnosis and radiological equipment.

The budget will allocate US$46.2 million to the programme and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for US$37 million.

The IDB issued loan in 2012. The loan was issued for 14 years, including four-year grace period.
