Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 October, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov participated in a ceremony to sign an investment agreement between the Ministry and the Italian company "Arsenale S.p.A." for the launch of a luxury tourist train along the route "Tashkent – Samarkand – Bukhara – Khiva."
During the event, the Italian side expressed strong interest in further developing close cooperation with Uzbekistan in tourism and logistics. They voiced confidence that the implementation of such projects would attract more tourists to the country and showcase Uzbekistan’s potential to the world.
"We are confident that the ‘Orient Express’ will not only be a comfortable way to travel around Uzbekistan but also a true tourist brand that will attract the attention of travelers from all over the globe," stated a representative of "Arsenale S.p.A."
Founded in Rome in 2020, Arsenale S.p.A. specializes in organizing luxury railway tours under the "Orient Express" brand, as well as in hotel construction and management. The company’s annual sales turnover exceeds €700 million.
Arsenale S.p.A. has considerable experience, having implemented similar projects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
