The measures will be implemented within the programme on further introduction and development of information-communication technologies for 2012-2014.

In particular, Uzbekistan plans to develop and implement technical projects directed at ensuring access of population to broadband internet.

In the result of the adopted measures, the speed of access to international channels of Internet will grow twice and the cost of services will drop 25%. This, in its turn, will help population to access broadband internet services and provide additional telecommunication and data transfer services.
